Drama Group to perform at the Art Centre.
We are incredibly proud of our Brighter Futures mums who put pen to paper in this year long project and then perform their own thoughts into a play to a live audience.
The Brighter Futures Drama Group will perform 'No place like' at the Art Centre on Friday 11th October 2019 at 7.00pm.
After the success of ‘What Are We Going To Do With All Our Children’ (2015), ‘I’d Rather Not Know! (2016) and ‘Conference of the Mermaids (2018), ‘no place like’ is a new piece of theatre, created, devised and written by 10 extraordinary women from Brighter Futures. This new work explores the meaning of home, how we build a home and rebuild it when it is sometimes destroyed. Contains some strong language and content. Suitable for 12 years +
2019 marks the 100-year anniversary of some women receiving the right to vote in Jersey for the very first time. Brighter Futures celebrates the trailblazing suffragettes who fought so hard to gain women this important right, by once again giving voice to the stories and experiences of women.
Brighter Futures is a Jersey Charity based at The Bridge. It works in partnership with Parenting Support Services to meet the needs of families and young people.
