What fun Brighter Futures had today taking part in the Lions Club 2021 Swimarathon.

Brighter Futures are very lucky to have been chosen as one of the beneficiaries and by gaining funding from Swimarathon in 2021 this will support and part sponsor two families for a year.

Brighter Futures continues to support families in Jersey who are facing significant challenges in their lives. We work with approximately 150 families at any time, although since Covid-19 there has been an increased demand for services, with an extra 32 families needing our support.

We know that there are families in Jersey struggling and experiencing significant difficulties in their lives. We support families to achieve their potential and become aspirational for themselves and their children. The main purpose of our work is to break the inter-generational cycle of disadvantage and support our families to move from dependency to independence.

Through our programmes and dedicated Key Worker support we equip parents with practical skills and tools that will help them to best look after themselves, look after their children and look to the future. This in turn links “Enabling Teenagers To Thrive”. Which is your theme for 2021.
